Royalty Free Images

Also available on this site are hundreds of original photographs and numerous free clip art images for you to download and use in your scrapbooking and genealogy projects. All these images can be downloaded and printed out on your own printer. Most of them are original photographs or artwork by the author, or out-of-copyright images from the author’s collection. Many of them are used as components in the designed pages, and are offered here for the first time as downloads for you to use as you see fit.

They are all available in .jpg format so are small in size. Many are also made available in .png format which have a transparent background so you can combine them with other artwork.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PRINTING THESE IMAGES

The downloadable .pdf files are formatted to print out to 12” x 12” (30cm x 30cm) and A4 size, unless otherwise noted. Whilst they will print out on any printer, best results will be obtained using laser colour printing on coated paper; therefore you might want to take them to a digital copy/print shop to print them out to an A3 or 12” x 12” size. Many digital print shops now print on what is known as Oversize A3 paper. This will allow you to print to the full 12” X 12” size. By printing on normal A3 paper and then trimming down, you will end up with a square page that is slightly under 12” X 12” in size, but still perfectly useable. Also note:

- Remember most home printers only take A4 sized copy paper. Many of these designs are very heavy on ink usage and may not give brilliant results on normal copy paper, so for best results you might consider laser colour printing on semi-gloss paper.

- The clip art files will print successfully on any modern domestic printer.
