Bluey's Vietnam Album. I started by covering a standard scrapbooking album with genuine Australian camouflage fabric which I was able to source through a colleague. I decorated the front of the album with Bluey's insignia and then made use of a range of other pages which I designed for the inside pages, using photographs from the time and incorporating comments he had made both on the backs of his photos as well as in his letters home. Numerous of his veteran mates have also contributed material which has been used in these background designs. The first image shows the title spread and introduction - Bluey's training at Puckapunyal. The second page is all about his arrival and first few weeks in South Vietnam. The third page is a special day in 1969. Whilst my best mate and I had absconded from college to watch Neil Armstrong landing on the moon, Bluey was in action of a different kind in Vietnam. These are just a few of the pages in this album. You can download these base pages and many others in this website. Bluey Coleman now designs and manufactures Regimental jewellery.
